WHAT TO DO??

There is much evidence that family income (whether living in poverty or not) influences children's well being. Family income seems to be more related to children's ability and achievement rather than emotional behaviors. Timing of poverty is also an important factor with factor; meaning when or what age are children exposed to poverty. We would think that government programs such as welfare would hinder the escalating problem of poverty, but this only causes more problems. Children will begin to depend on the government for support and will not try to succeed in anything (may that be education or career). Their are many things we could do, but what steps could we actually take??
